Services
At Avon Community Church of God we have something for everyone. On Sundays we offer coffee, donuts and fellowship at 9:30 AM. Following that we have our worship during which children 3 to 5 years are dismissed to their own preschool class, while children Kindergarten through 6th grade are dismissed to a separate class. The adults then enjoy blended worship along with a message from Pastor Bill Sandifer. Wednesday night there is an adult Bible Study from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There is also a Youth Group meeting at 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM for students’ 7th to 12th grade.
Worship Service
The Worship Service at Avon Community Church of God is a time for adults and children to come together and celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ. There is a variety of songs, choruses, instrumentals and specials. During the service children are dismissed to their own classes to learn about Jesus, while the adults have the opportunity to hear a message from Pastor Bill Sandifer, who is currently teaching “A Journey through Joshua”. 12eleven Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry at Avon Community Church of God, which we call 12eleven, is open for students in grades 7th through 12th. Our youth leaders are Lori Redman, Jeremy Redman and Mackenzie Sandifer. At 12eleven youth we strive to make it a safe and fun place for youth to come and learn about Jesus Christ while having the opportunity to hang out with others around their age. Our youth name 12eleven comes from the Bible verse Romans 12:11 “Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.” If you have any more questions please feel free to call us.
Children's Ministry
The Children’s Ministry at Avon Community Church of God is open for students 3 years old to those in 6th grade. Our Children’s Ministry director, Darlene Heir, strives to make it a fun place for children to come and learn about Jesus Christ with others their age. Three year olds to five year olds have a class all their own to attend during service, while Kindergarten through 6th graders have a separate class of their own to attend and learn about our Lord Jesus Christ. There is also a separate daycare for infants to 2 year olds so parents can attend the worship service. If you have any more questions please feel free to call us.
Bible Study
Bible Study at Avon Community Church of God is a time for adults of all ages to come and learn more about God’s Word. It is a time of discussion, a place to ask questions or give your opinion. It is also a time of fellowship with other members of Avon Community Church. Pastor Bill Sandifer is now teaching “A Study through the Gospel of John”.
